Silver dye bleach colour print on aluminium
In my Sleeplessness series I depict the anxiety caused by the lack of sleep. Unsharp images and their colours mirror the reality of an anxious mind, fuzzy thoughts, distortion of feelings and underlying despondency. The room revolves, walls fall down, the heart pounds and still sleep will not come. Thoughts circle, twisting ever deeper into themselves. Wakeful eyes repeatedly turn to the clock as it inexorably ticks the night away.
The series has been exhibited in gallery Katariina, Helsinki, Finland, from 5 to 23 January 2005.
